Kayaks: For convenience sake we store the kayaks that you sit-inside-of under the dock so they don't fill up with rain. Very rarely, the river will rise slowly but high enough so they will not fit under the dock. When this happens they need to be moved to the rack on high ground

We store the two-seat kayaks under the upstream end of the dock because they are easy to get out of on that end. The end of the Kayak hits the board at the back of the dock and the kayak doesn't slide forward when you pull yourself up.
.
Eventually water accumulates in the kayaks and they need to be dumped out. Pull them onto the flat end of the dock and rock them to get the water out.

The sit-inside kayaks are hard to get out of and back in to when paddling down the river. When you want to swim or snorkle or otherwise get in and out while playing on the river, it's best to use the sit-on-top ones.

The sit-on kayaks have a double-layer hull with access via a plug in the end. If the plug is missing water can get into the cavity and the boat gets heavy. Lift the other end to dump the water out and, if the plug is lost, rip a small chunk of foam off one of the swimming noodles for a good substitute.

The peddle-boat should not be taken downstream. People have been unable to make it back upstream through the narrow section because the current is strong.

Life Jackets, Swim Noodles, Paddles:
There is an assortment of different size life jackets stored alongside the house in the trash cans on the rack under the aluminum canoe.

Under the dock are a million small fish.
They scramble to get fed bread when they hear you wallk on the dock. We keep day-old bread in the freezer for Kids - they love feeding the fish under the dock.
